About ExoDeeto

ExoDeeto is a group of mechatronics engineering students at the University of Waterloo. From left to right: Ryan Smith (electrical lead), Rafa Narciso (project manager/sensor lead), Nathan Johnston (mechanical lead), and Chris Gravel (software lead).

​Dexterous skills require a significant time commitment to acquire. The goal of this device is to accelerate the independent learning of these skills. This is done through the coercion of the fingers into specific positions. The idea is that this device would demonstrate to users the correct positions required to perform a skill; this should allow them to learn more rapidly and precisely. Experts will be used to develop a library of skill-related positions which will be utilized by the learners through the device.
